Things are going pretty well here, been really busy, working for a campus design firm now in the city. Will you be at the ASLA conference in a couple weeks? We should catch up.

    Hey Brian,

We are heading out to the west coast on October 15th. So excited to be west coasters! Looking forward to checking out the site. We've been enlisted to help market and give your dad ideas. Was on the phone last night for an hour talking about it. Your dad is a riot. How have you been?

Thanks for having me. I am excited to see where this goes. It seems like the Lin's understand the process of design and illustration at the foundational level. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Greetings Brian. One of your new members, Carlos Frey, has uploaded some examples of my work. I hope to be a contributing member of the Beoose Graphic Workshop website.

Hi Brian -- so you were able to break away and see the White House - nice!! Frustrated concert pianist, hmmmm, I bet you are an awesome pianist! I forgot to mention that I LOVE playing Chopin. Hope you and your family are doing well!
    Best, Linda

Hi Brian, I know what it is like to be a frustrated person who wants to play the piano. I have one but I can't play it too loud out of consideration of my neigbhours where I live. Any way, I sent the same questions below to Mike on his comment page. Can you put your experience together and advise, thank you - I am having challenges with AutoCad and Photoshop - with drawing files that are quite large. I am working in AutoCad, importing PDF into Photoshop, saving as Tifs or JPGS and painting over pdfs, tifs and/or Jpgs in Photoshop and saving the rendered work as either tifs or jpgs - 300 dpi and such. I don't seem to have the proper Adobe Software aligned with my AutoCad or with my Photoshop - is there an inexpensive PDF platform or is there a free download from Adobe that works with both AutoCad (2004 is the version I have, and Photoshop CS3?
    Thanks so much.

Brian, thanks for the work you're doing to get the discussions going. Finding the right subject and phrasing or framing the question is an art in itself. I'll add what I can when I can, however.

I am surprised that people aren't posting many images. I feel this is the most immediate way to connect with someone you don't know. I don't know how you do it, but the members are missing a real opportunity to share their work and to get comments. What do you think? SNC

Brian, perhaps there'd be time for you and I to talk about this. I'm glad to help, but doing it on the fly is not as easy as having a plan. We could chart out the rest of the year, for instance. What do you think? S
  • Ileana García

Hey Brian! your comment made me laugh because it made me realize that my name does look like "LLeana"... but it's actually ileana with an "i" :P thanks for welcoming me to the site.. ;) have a nice day or night n_n
  • Tony Weremeichik, CPBD, AIBD

Thank you for the welcome, Brian. I look forward to staying current with news on your site. I had one question - I'm interested in the workshop in Vegas next May, but when I click on the link to register, it directs me to the other workshop in San Fransisco. How do I register for Las Vegas in May?
  • Alice Donovan

    Hi Brian!

Thank you for your response. My only concern is that I will still be in classes is May and will also be graduating during that month. Hopefully there will be room for me in the January workshop, my understanding from the expo was that was going to be the one I was attending. Let me know what your thoughts are!

    Thanks,

    Alice
