Thank you for welcoming me to your site.I bought your fantastic book, Drawing and designing with confidence, couple of yeras a go and found your fantastic website when  I was reading your book and came to idea that you maybe have a website too. So I googled you and found this site and I have to say it´s really great. I´m a design student at Luleå Technical University and I hope you`ll come to Sweden sometime and give us an opportunity to attend your workshop. In the meantime I´ll admire your work here at your site and try to learn from a great artist :)

The workshop was great. Worth it for the entertainment value alone. I really enjoyed learning how to draw trees as they have never been my forte and frequently put me off drawing at all. Hope you and your wife enjoyed the rest of your time in Australia and found some nice places to eat in Melbourne. Next time you should bring Mrs Lin to class. She sounds like fun!

Hi Mike...thanks for your comments.  I hope to take your San Franciso workshop over the Summer but my freehand drawing skills are pretty weak.  Can you please make some suggestions and/or steer me in the direction of getting some pointers on how to improve before the workshop?  Any books/references on learning to draw freehand sketches?

Thanks for the welcome and I will tell her Hello. She taught a retail design class that asked us to do a lot of manual perspective drawings. None of which our class had been taught. I asked her about classes and she directed me to you. I'm going to try and make it out for the January Vegas class, if not for sure the June class, depending on my work schedule.

 I am going to tell my girlfriend about the site (it is very interesting), she is in the design program at Davis.  I am very much enjoying Brian's classes, he is a very good teacher and seems to care a lot about his students.  I am learning so much from his class, I hope to take more classes from him.

Hi Mike,  I took your first? Economy in Graphics Workshop at San Francisco Fall of 1979, and of course it changed my life.  I am a professional urban planner and landscape architect, but now call myself a "Design Illustrator."  I teach Landscape Design and Landscape Design Graphics, and of course encourage my students to Be Loose!  Thanks for your great website.

Nice to again be in touch....after all these years since KState!  Back then I learned so many valuable techniques and enjoyed your teaching style.  Now, 30 years later (yikes!) I still use my marker techniques on my own hand drawn renderings & sketches ...and have taught similar university-level classes.  Hope all is well!  Michael Flynn
