Wow, wow, WOW---The 9 day workshop was simply AMAZING!!!  My official thank you note is taking a while to craft as there are so many things to be thankful for.  I learned so much; was blown away by your (and Brian's) teaching; and had a wonderful time in the process.  All I want to do now is draw...! 

I traveled to Las Vegas with very high expectations for the workshop.  I am thrilled to say that the workshop EXCEEDED those expectations. Thank you so much for all your expertise, time and energy, and passion for drawing/designing/teaching.

I do plan to check out the amazing tips you provide. They have been very helpful thus far. It was Wade Gains who was mentoring us on color rendering at the Saddleback College Portfolio workshop. He was extremely helpful and introduced us about you, your workshop and website. 

Dear Mike, 

For the first time, I am teaching a class in a small junior college using your book! I am very excited about doing it, (and nervous, too). I would like to ask your advice. I have a few students who are significantly "feedback resistant". The resistance comes in the form of relentless interruption, (exhausting), and them telling me why they don't need to make the changes I am suggesting. I strive to practice giving feedback clearly, with sensitivity, and always identify the strengths of the drawing in my feedback. What do you say to students who are resistant to what you say? Thank you very much!

P.S. Are their any workshops before July? July seems so far away!

Mike, Thank you.  A very gracious note.  

I'm in the process of completing my pen set to include your colors.  I hope that I can recreate the colors with my Prismacolors.   I'm a bit stubborn, luckily I have pencils that will work as well, or even better.  :)

I thought that your methodology was very clear, logical and a natural progression from the mechanical progression from which I learned how to construct perspectives at Cal Poly.   I think the most important thing that you reminded me was not to fear screwing up the drawing!   Thank you. 

I hope to see you again, please let me know if you would like any tips when you travel to Dubai.
