Samsung Suwon Master Plan
The conceptual master plan is a vision for the future worldwide headquarters of Samsung Electronics. The plan is a development framework to transform the existing industrial electronics production complex into an integrated mixed-use ‘city within a city’ incorperating business, educational, research and development, high-tech industrial and residential components. A high-density, high-rise, high-quality, urban environment is envisioned. The master plan directs phased development of the over 1.6 million square meter site (169 hectares), located in the city of Suwon, south of Seoul and about 50 kilometers from the Incheon International Airport. The development program is approximately 3.5 million square meters (over 1 million PY) of building above ground and features a 100-story, landmark business tower.
