This is a pencil rendering done by one of our website members, John Myberg. I see lots of parallels and techniques that you could apply to your pencil rendering, especially the windows. The key to the windows is to show transparency (notice on the left side of the building tower) and an even application of the pencil strokes. With glass, it's very important to keep strokes even, and show gradients from dark to light because that's how the material reflects. For the lawn and foreground, you can almost leave that empty since the main focus is the building entry and the tower, as in John's example here. Hope this helps!

the client wants to keep a light sketchy pencil feel to all the drawings he sends out. I think the windows look smeary instead of reflective on this- also the lawn area looks smudgy to me. should i clean up the smudginess or is it passable. not sure.
